This is because higher education means the individual has a high skillset and is more knowledgeable as compares to his counterpart with less education.

This will make the employer demand and hire more of educated workers to do their jobs, as educated workers will come with higher productivity and knowledge.

As a result of this, income made by educated worker will be much higher than income made by less educated workers who end up taking meager jobs.

Thus, there exists a positive relationship between income and education.
