Considering a market anti-competitive because there are only a few firms of United States competing in the market is not an appropriate reason. There is a high competition the US market is getting from the foreign suppliers. The share of sales from foreign suppliers has been increasing constantly in the US market for Automobiles. General Motors sales almost 40 percent of total sales of U.S if we talk about only domestic producers. The share of General Motors gets decreased to around 20 percent when we include sales of foreign suppliers. Therefore, the automobile market of the United States is not anti-competitive.
