Consider this scenario:

Your friend starts a website, nothingbutflags.com, which is not making money. Your friend asks you to help generate more traffic. You ask your friend how much traffic the website had last month? And your friend replies and says only 500 visits. You also ask how many flags did you sell? Your friend replies only 10, from two purchases. So what do you advise your friend?

1)as the information provided the trafic was 500 people but only 2 of them bought the flag so the problem is not with the less no. of visiters but with the product. few things would be possible cases. first may be the requirment of flags is less or the demand for flags is less or the second case can be that the quality and price of the product is not effective. in both the cases the priority issue is with the product only. either its related with its price or its demand.

2) here i would suggest my friend to focus on selling things with high consumer demand or else try to make the product more attractive and qualitive and fix a price which can attract more consumer. advertisement of the website is also important to increase the trafic as well as to increase the sell.
