An example of oligopoly is the industry of cell phone operating system, which is dominated by Android and IOS. In this assignment, find three examples of oligopoly, and briefly discuss the reasons why oligopoly arises in those industries.

The oligopoly is the market from where exist few firms selling similar but differentiated products.The operating system is the market dominated by Apple and Samsung other firms which are oligopoly in nature.

The Apple and Samsung enjoy larger market share due to following the reasons or factors.Another new start-up firm unable to break market structure.

The patent rights and brand name enjoyed by the firms and the economies of scale enjoyed by the firms these are the main reasons why other firms difficult for them to beat Apple and Samsung firms.
