What are the greatest strengths and greatest weaknesses of political elections?

What kind of change would you make in order to increase voters turnout in Texas? (make a minimum of two proposed changes. be very specific about proposed changes and provide explanation as to why and how your proposed changes will work.

Advantages-

1. Elections give free and fair change to citizens to choose their representatives.
2. It helps maintain political stability in the economy..

Disadvantages-

1. Expenditure made on conducting of elections is huge and can be used elsewhere otherwise.
2. A lot of inappropriate promotional activities are carried out of political aspirants standing in elections which may be unethical or harmful for the economy.

Here’s how voter turnout can be increased in Texas-

1. Pressurize citizens emotionally and mentally to be responsible for choosing their leader by sending them regular mails and texts before the elections, to keep them reminded and informed.
2. Voter turnout can be increased by letting people vote from home through their mobile phones. A proper system will have to be setup and organized in order to avoid any kind of cheating.
