Answer - The place is one of the marketting mix elements is very importanct and of great significance to consumer. It describes the main distribution channels which help in the delivery of goods from manufacturer to consumer. The longer distribution channels means higher distribution and delivery cost. Thus it result in greater price to consumer because of greater middlemen involved.
The shorter channels reduce the cost of middlemen and consumer have to pay less. Also , the good place mix increases the convinience to consumer. Hence it need not be ignored.
