Answer #1

Verizon Communications, Inc. uses its corporate culture to ensure products of high quality. High quality is a competitive advantage that forms the main basis of the telecommunications market strategies of the company (Read: The Generic Strategy of Verizon and Intensive Growth Strategies). The company benefits from its organizational culture's contribution to overall business performance and strategic progress in this regard.

The organizational culture or corporate culture of a corporation determines the set of beliefs, principles and values that influence the actions of employees. In this situation, Verizon is setting its organizational culture to enable workers to support high performance targets that are vital to the ability of the company to attract customers and stand out from the competition. All branches and affiliates, such as Verizon Wireless, are affected by the associated cultural characteristics. For example, Verizon Wireless's human resource development programs emphasize and retain the same cultural characteristics that are reinforced in other departments and subsidiaries.

Verizon and AT&T are a duopoly at the top of the telecommunications industry in the United States. The firms have the two largest U.S. wireless customer base, as well as the industry's largest wireless networks. Smaller competitors like Sprint and T-Mobile have little opportunity to compete with such a big advantage. Verizon's core business is doubling, while AT&T believes adding value to bundled services such as cable TV and streaming solutions.

Verizon has just a little more market appeal or a little more pricing power, which leads to better margins. And it may be better set up for success in the long run.Verizon is better off as it only focuses on its core business. AT&T offers programming that sounds good, but customers unbundle cable packages and watch fewer live television. In the end, this could diminish the value of DiIRECTV and Time Warner, who are far behind companies like Disney and Netflix in moving into a streaming world.
