Using only economic theory why is there a teacher shortage in Texas?

ANSWER: Texas is one of the fastest-growing states in U.S., and populations of student are increasing and diversifying at high rates, and consequently is putting an additional pressure on the teacher-staffing pool in the state. Furthermore the rural residents in Texas are nearly 15% of it's population while the urban centers in the state are growing at a rapid rate compared to rural communities, and as result causing the depressed rural economies. The small school districts have difficulty to keep up with the salaries of teacher what the more urban districts can offer. Due to the economic concern of demand and supply of teachers in Texas there is a teacher shortage in Texas.
