  • Portugal ranked 30 (out of total 180 countries covered by the report); and
  • it scored 62 point (out of total 100 points). Here points towards 100 means 'very clean' and points towards 0 means 'highly corrupt'.

One example:
More than 1/3rd of Portuguese private sector corporates avoided taking part in the government tenders because of the perceived tailor-made criteria. Not only this, almost half of them reported that corruption actually prevented them from winning a tender or contract from the government organizations.
