Explain briefly about Geneva Convention

Geneva convention are the set of rules having four treaties and three protocols , which lays down the yardsticks of international laws for kind and humane behaviour in war.These rules are applicable in case of armed disputes only and it look to safeguard those people who are not involved in enemity any longer. According to this , the first convention is about providing treatment to wounded and ill people in the war.The second convention deals with wounded, shipwrecked and sick members at the sea.Next, third convention is about providing treatment to the inmates of war throughout the conflict period. The last convention i-e fourth convention deals with providing help to civilians and to safeguard them during war.
