katrina hurricane posed many challenges as the government was
ill prepared in its relief measures. Some of the challenges
were:-
- sanitation and hygiene- it was difficult to maintain the usual
levels of sanitation and hygiene as normal life was affected and
lack of preventive measures by governent escalated it
- water safety- it is difficult to maintain water safety
especially for potable water as water gets polluted and
transportation lines are hindered.
- access to care facilities- as the life comes to a standstill
and there is no way of movement to safer areas without government
help and relief efforts
