Labor union issues in India are largely related to working hours and minimum wages which are yet undecided and thus matter of conflicts with the Government. As results, an amendment to Factories Act 1948 is recommended by unions to safeguard interest of millions of workers and their lives.

Political impacts majorly are higher government deficits if wages are increased and working hours are reduces. Similarly economic impacts shall be positive as this will raise productivity amd disposable incomes which shall boost consumption and thus revive aggregate demand and thereby promote economic growth and mild inflation.
