Practice descriptive data modelling refers to such a technique wherein the consumer groups are being clustered based on the demographics, pirchasing behaviour, interest categories etc.. The major classifications of pivoting are

  • Classification in to customer groups who have different impacts on service and marketing
  • Classification based on values as the value of customers to an organization are identified and categorised accordingly
  • Classification based on consumer product usage and purchasing patterns
