Give an example of an event in the last few years where the actions in the event increased our (U.S.A.) GDP number, but actually provided no benefit at all to the nation. Please explain your answer.

In 2015, in a global agreement on climate change (popularly known as Paris climate change meeting), more than 190 countries gathered and discuss a possible new agreement for protecting climate by reducing gas house emissions. After that the event, GDP number of USA increased due to maintain proper rules and regulation such as many country increased import from USA and so on. However, in the long run, due to world economic slowdown, lack of strong control measures actually provided no benefit to all the nations.
