Utilitarian Views on Inequality:

  • utilitarians stress on maximizing utilities of whole society and believe that distribution of income in favor of poor class would increase overall utility of society.
  • But they do not demand intervention of government in economic activities. Intervention of government creates inefficiencies.

Liberal views:

  • They also vouch for equal income and go little further in accepting intervention of government in economic activities.

Libertarian views:

  • Left Libertarians do not accept income equalities and call for establishing just society by abolishing capitalism. Further, right Libertarians do not believe in abolition of capitalism.
