According to the HAAS institute report the race and racism still continue to impact hunger and food insecurity.The reports show that the African American households face hunger twice than the White American households.Although slavery has abolished more than 150 years ago but the oppression based on the race still continues.
The higher rates of food insecurity ,poverty and the wealth gap are directly related to the racial discrimination.
Average household income of a African American is $36,700 and the Average household income of white American household is $60,000.
Black Americans are continuously denied from the ownership of the lands.The 40 percent of African American students attended high poverty schools.
