Discuss which experiences have shaped your personal understanding
of diversity? How have these experiences influenced, if at all, the
way you have approached diversity in your personal and/or
professional lives? Considering what you have learned this week
regarding leadership of organizations being primarily male and
white, discuss what you would do, as a leader, to change this
trend?
Diversity is a vast term , it varies from from place to place ,time to time . Everybody has its own definition of diversity ,it depends on one's upbringing ,intellect ,society, education , culture etc. Every one have a large no of experiences in their lives .In our daily life we live/work/study/play/eat/roam with people from diverse form . All those experiences/moments helps us to become more friendly, tolerant and help us to improve our emotional and social quotient and results into a better word/society. One can approach with positive attitude towards the problems within life/work etc. and it with help individual in overall development.
As far as leadership skills concerned ,it depends on ones skills, intelligence not on the caste, sex, creed, religion.place of birth,
physical appearance . Their are many examples in this world that are breaking the stereotype from the ancient time and making the word a better place into a Global village . At last i will like to quote a famous Sanskrit phrase "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" i.e whole world is a family.
