Consider the topic of the "American Politics in Comparative Perspective" feature. Should the United States adopt a law requiring that a certain percentage of political candidates be women? Why or why not?
Ans- From my point of view america should consider reforms to increase women's representation in politics.
As we seen that women in america increasingly passed men but the point they are stucked is the representation in politics. Number of women in the America who were representatives declined all the time (from 9 in 2007 to 4 in 2017). This is a data of women governors. Only 25% at state and local level they have been stucked.
Surprisingly in the last election, the woman candidate won a majority of the votes of the popular vote in america.
In the upcoming elections, america should have an adequate number of women so that a women has more chance of becoming nominee.
