One of the obstacles to economic development is Overpopulation.
Overpopulation refers to a population which exceeds its sustainable size within a particular environment or habitat. The result of it is that the limited resources that a nation might have are not adequate and thus, the country has to import most of the times. The country has to take loans and is usually in a vicious circle of laon plus interest re-payments.
For example- India, though has well educated workforce, lacks in economic development due to overpopulation.
