What critical macroeconomic factor will likely drive change in the cleaning productsindustry and impact Jelmar as it tries to grow its market share (consider: GDP, wages, unemployment, trade, inflation, environmental factors, etc.)?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The first macroeconomic factor will be the environment and drive among the government agencies to use those type of cleaning products that are less harmful to the water ecology and aqua life. Accordingly, the company has to quickly change the product portfolio and gain first mover advantage. It will increase the market share.

The second macroeconomic factor is the GDP as growth in GDP is the indicator of increased demand for the cleaning products. Making adequate supply and on time, will help capture the market demand and capture the higher market share in the domain.
