Consumer buying behaviour and business buying behaviour differs significantly. The major difference between these two is as under:

· Consumers purchase goods and services for personal use while business purchases these things for either to produce other goods or to resell them to other businesses or customers.

· Consumer buyers need additional product information than business purchasers.

· Business purchases are made by one individual whereas families make consumer purchases together. Family members may be spouse, parents or children.

· Recurrence of sales are more common with consumer buyers as compared to business buyers.
