  • The management should act quickly as much as possible. If the disclosure is internal it should be seen as an opportunity so that things are put right without third party getting involved.
  • A meeting should be held with the whistleblower so as to understand the situation and appropriate action must be taken.
  • Support should be provided to the whistleblower during the process of dealing with the disclosure.
  • The disclosure should be taken seriously while reassuring the whistleblower of the security of his postion.
  • The whistleblower shouldn't be traeted unfairly otherwise he may take the case to some other person or agency.
  • The identity of the whistleblower should reamin confidential unless required by the law.
