How Does Governance Influence Ethics. What can a company do to have good governance processes in place?

Answer #1

Yes, ethics are important because even though we attempt to limit power via term limits, public accountability, etc. persons who are elected officials yield great power that they can use to harm as well as benefit the people they represent.

In betraying the people they represent, unethical politicians lose the trust people have that justice and good will come from government and therefore people begin to discount the value of government and take illegal actions and act to undermine governments in turn until all that is left is chaos.
