What are the most important factors, in your opinion, that causes outcome uncertainty to differ from game-to-game in 3 and 4 game series (during regular season) between Major League Baseball teams?

A teams total payroll is the greatest predictor for the teams winning percentage.It is a common belief of all major league baseball followers that more money a team spends on players,the more successful the team will be.For the last 16 yrs,of the world series winners , 62 %have been top ten in the payroll and 64% of worst team have been in lower payroll.However there are other factors which play a role in the teams success .A variety of factors like injuries,team chemistry,coaching tendency,also play a major role.Fan attendance is also a factor which motivate the team to win.
