Enterprise edge functional area is the section which would house a DNS server that company uses.In this division it is responsible for the e-commerce module which is responsible for the transactions that happen eloctronically and also the internet connectivity which includes the DNS,FTP servers,firewalls,edge routers etc.This enterprise edge also contains remote access and VPN and WAN,MAN modules in it.

SP edge provider is the part of the network design which is responsible for this task that is connecting to cloud service provider with cable.Here this functional area contains different service options that include ISP,Public switched telephone network commanly known as PSTN and Frame Relay and ATM module which includes the connectivity between number of technologies that are different from each other including cable,DSL,MPLS etc.
