Answer #1

Here, first we need to know what causes Network Traffic.

1.Large number of hosts in broadcast domain

Network over-burden is the thing that happens when you place such a large number of hosts in a broadcast domain. The expression "broadcast domain" is conceptual, however the idea applies to network structure.

The broadcast domain is the network. This could be the network in an endeavor, or a VLAN. A host will be every individual switch or switch inside the broadcast domain.

This problem applies for Hole in One stores because here the server already holds a lot of information along with that three other Hole In One stores in town connect to the central server through high-speed internet connections. It implies that there are large number of hosts in the broadcast domain, so obviously it causes network traffic .

2.Broadcast Storms

A broadcast storm is where there are an excessive number of requests on a network. This makes a circumstance where a network doesn't be able to process all the requests immediately.

In my opinion the reason behind the Hole In One is having problems with heavy traffic and slow server response
at 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. each day is Broadcast Stroms ,as they are the lunch and dinner hours , there may be several requests of sales and ordering on the server at that particular time .So , the server takes long time for processing requests and in return too long time for responding to requests.

Networks services would help them assess their traffic situation/Services they might use

1.Monitor Web Activity of Network Users

Audit the URL separating logs to look over alerts, denied categories/URLs. URL logs are created when a traffic coordinates a security decide that has a URL separating profile joined with an activity of alert, continue, override or block.

2.Figure out what updates/alterations are required for your network security strategy rules and execute the changes

For instance:

  • Assess whether to permit web content dependent on time, clients, or gatherings.
  • Permit or control certain applications or capacities inside an application.
  • Unscramble and examine content.
  • Permit yet examine for dangers and endeavors

3.Using Load Balancer

Your smartest option is to put a Load Balancer (like Application Delivery Controller) before it. ADC's give security includes that can move possibly hazardous traffic away from the servers and manage it substantially more productively. Likewise, most ADC's have Web Application Firewalls which gives substantially more security than only a normal firewall.

Network configuration:

Here There are three other Hole In One stores in town connect to the central server that means the network confoguration used to connect the stores with in a city is Metropolitan Area Network (MAN).

Metropolitan Area Network

The MAN is a PC network that interconnects clients in a geographic area of the size of a metropolitan city. The term MAN is applied to the interconnection of neighborhood (LANs) in a city into a solitary bigger network which may then likewise offer effective association with a wide area network.
