Digital systems are the ones uses discrete signals i.e.0 or 1.

Analog systems uses continuous signals in wave form.

a) A four way pad on game controller is digital system because here communication relies on single electrical connections for the movement(up,down,left,right).

b) Building a tower with blocks is digital system because its size doesn't varies as the signals size varies in analog system.

c) Application of sales tax to a purchase is a analog system if it uses touch card to purchase because contact of card with application or can say machine send signals in continuous form to get the details from one device to another i.e. card to application machine.
