1)SPI( Serial pheripheral interface)-

• in this protocal only the byte transission is fully defined.
• mechanism for this byte transfer is software can provide the packet layers but there is no standard size or the type exists for a serial packets.
• this is a clocked serial link.

CAN(Controller area network)-

• this protocal defines the packets.
• packet transfer is standardized for this protocal
• these are usually implemented in hardware.
• this protocal is a multi drop bus protocal.

2)TSP(Transmission service provider)-

• the person who owns or the controls or operates the transmission facility and some other related services.

DSP(Distribution service provider)-

• this means the person controling or operating distribution facilities for the distribution of electricity to public.
