* We can say, technical report is supposed to be technical and news report is for everyone.

* Technical report is a document that has information regarding the process, progress of the technical research or the results. But a news report is a document which has the outcomes, efficiency, results and other informations that are directly related to the success of the company or group.

* Technical report can be internal or external. News report is meant for a large audience.

* Technical report is writing such a way that, a person who is skilled in that particular subject will understand it and they don't need to ask for further information as it is self contained. But news report is written in simple language, so anyone can understand.

* Technical report is directed to the technical manager. And in news report, it is usually directed to the general manager.
