IEEE 488- It stands for Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers standard for a parallel interface. It is used for connecting computers to measurement sensors and test equipment for automatic data.

IEEE 1284- It is a protocol used for parallel and a point to point communication between computer and its device.

SPI- SPI stands for Serial Peripheral Interface . It is usually used to send data between microcontrollers and small peripheral such as sensors, SD cards etc.

CAN- CAN stands for Controller Area Network. It is a robust vehicle standard designed for devices to communicate with each other's application without a host computer.
