The moral dangers of using code without acknowledgment are the loss of the research abilities, as the organization pays you for researching and finding the optimal way of solving the problem but by using the copied code there is no increase in your research level as using the same content, also as you are not writing your own code so it is a loss to your research abilities.

The legal danger of using the code without consent depends on the country ad the law follows by that organization, moreover, the real owner of the code can demand a fine, and also depending on the laws of the country and firm you can be jailed or get a bill of hefty fines for using the code without the consent.

The practical danger of using the code without consent is that you can be expelled from your school/college/job for using a copied code. This also results in the destruction of your work and reputation. The practical danger is that usage of code without authorization can lead to legal action and expulsion from school/college/job.

So, all three above dangers are a risk due to the usage of code without the consent of the author.
