Marry Smith is a large software companies programmer. His work /job is to write and test some software. His company uses two shifts: Program development and online operations are arranged in the day time, the batch product work will be done at night. After analyzing the workload data Bob learns that, batch work in the evening is a supplement to the daytime's programming work, i.e., adding program-design work during night shift would not affect the operating performance of others too much. So Bob used his night shift time, and spent a few hours to developed a program to manage his own stock list, and then back to the company's product batch processing . His program cost the company's resource very little, Almost imperceptible.

Now, If you are the boss, do you allow Marry Smith to do such thing, how would you deal with him, why?

Being the boss , i will allow the Marry Smith to do such things because of the fact that nowadays if we want to achieve our goals and traget in a efficient and effective manner, we not only need to do hard work but we need to do the work in a smart manner , dividing the work is such example of smart work , but properly making the routine of the work is also important , here Marry Smith action do not harm or violate the policy of the companies , as he was doing his work at night and also completed the work that was scheduled to be done in the night , so as being the boss of Marry Smith , i allow him to do such thing and take his advice for the proper routine and work distribution. As adding program design work during night shift would not affect the operating performance of others too much so such action can be allowed in the company.
