Your company has a license to operate a very small cellular mobile network in a regional town. You have been allocated a very narrow bandwidth of 10kHz. You expect to have 10 to 15 concurrent phone calls. What multiple access method can you use in this scenario? Justify your selection.
To perform concurrent operations we can use 'frequency dicvision multipe access' in short FDMA. In FDMA bandwidth is divided into a no of frequency slots , ans each slot is assigned to a user whenever user want to use that slot he can use.
BUT,
in our question bandwidth is little small and choosing TDMA may not work (can cause high noise or distoted signl).
But we have another option, that is using 'Code division multiple access' in short CDMA.
in CDMA whole bandwidth and whole time slot is used. but we can transmit multiple signals at the same time by assigning each signal a distinct code.
in this way every user can use whole bandwidth and also concurrency is achieved by ditinct code.
so we would choose CDMA in this scenario.
