Answer) Gathering and storing of the needed data of the project may follow either of two approaches.

1) Activity-Based: The activity-based approach collects information about an attribute based on the activity performed to achieve the goal of that attribute. In this team collects attribute information namely, completion dates of the activities

2) Attribute-Based: The attribute-based approach collects information about an attribute based on metric defined to measure the fulfilment of the goal for that attribute. This fit better for a micro level data collection

The method of choice from the above two depend on the specific target where one method is more effective than other.
