What characteristics distinguish a Solid State Drive from a Hard Disk Drive? Check all that apply.

Answer #1

In Hard Disk Drive, the moving parts are present like platter, arm. But in Solid state Drive, there is no mechanical part only electronic parts are present.

HDD have magnetic disk where datas are stored but in SDD have IC's where datas are stored.

The Read/writing time of datas in HDD is lower than that in SDD.

Size of HDD is bigger than the size of SDD.

The latency for Hard disk drive is more than the latency time in solid disk drive.

Cost of storing data in HDD is more than tht in SDD.

HDD causes more noise than the SDD because of the mechanical moving parts in HDD.

HDD are less reliable than SDD because of presence of better and reliable components in SDD.

uestion 8 (1 point) Saved It is believed that using a solid state drive (SSD) in a computer results in faster boot times when compared to a computer with a traditional hard disk (HDD). You sample a group of computers and use the sample statistics to calculate a 95% confidence interval of (3.83, 12.85). This interval estimates the difference of (average boot time (HDD) - average boot time (SSD)). What can we conclude from this interval? Question 8 options: 1)...

The Solid State Drive (SSD) is revolutionizing personal computer (PC), laptop and notebook mass storage. The SSD is fast, efficient, and has no moving parts. However, their cost per gigabyte of storage is a couple of times more than that of the old traditional mechanical spinning hard drive. It is likely over time that the demand for spinning hard drives will ______________ and the demand for SSDs will ________________. The options are increase or decrease.
