Q1:
Ans:
Business Cases play
a pivotal role in determining the quality of the project. The
quality of a project is best determined when the project is in
either near completion phase or it is a just completed project.
Noticeably, actual requirements from the project are clearly
mentioned in the business cases and hence comparing the final
product with the requirements and expectations set in the Business
Cases is a good way to determine the overall quality of the
project.
We can say that project fulfils the
business cases if:
- The project provides enough
confidence to the customer that the intended goals will be met with
the product that has been delivered to them.
- The project is consistent with the
overall cost which the customer is willing to pay for that has been
clearly mentioned in the business case document.
- The project fulfils the expected
goals, outcomes and also provides the customer with the additional
set of functionalities that are implicit to the requirements (also
called non-functional requirements).
- The project delivers expected
returns to the customer with consistency and low variance which
adds to the customer satisfaction.
- In addition to providing the
functional and non-functional requirements set in the business
cases, the project should also be ready within the provided time
period as mentioned in the draft document.
- The project should be able to
address the risks gracefully and should be able to handle crashes
in a subtle way.
Using the knowledge from the above
mentioned factors, one can determine that weather the project
results are consistent with the business case or not.
