Viruses has been more devasting software in the recent past as it is similar to biological virus. It makes copies by itself and spreads the virus across all the systems that are interlinked. It may completely steals the data or deletes the data across all the systems that are interlinked.

Prevention:

• Updating the OS regularly by checking patches and fixing them.
• Installing an antivirus that updates frequently to ensure the system fixes.
• Ensuring the antivirus to scan the mails and the files downloaded.
• Installing the firewall
• Backup your data frequenty with atleast 2 backup versions.
