The underlying design of cloud computing is to utilise resources of distributed computers over network. This generally include data storage, database, servers, hardware, etc... At the foundation it utilizes the concept of distributed data centers.

2. IoT:

The underlying design of Internet of Things (IoT) is the idea of enabling several devices(things: can be ur refrigerator, tv, lights, etc...) to communicate over the internet and share information and signals. At the foundation the technology is dependent on embedded systems and networked communication.

3. AI:

The underlying design of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the concepts of Artificial Nueral netwoks, machine learning and pattern recognition. It utilizes different algorithm to emulate decision making process.
