1. What is the difference between supervised and unsupervised classification in converting raster in vector data layers.

Answer #1

The major difference between supervised and unsupervised classification is that unsupervised classification is completely software based detection and classification whereas supervised classification is manual also known as Human guided classification.

Unsupervised classification needs software to analyse the image and gives outcome based on it without any user interaction.

Supervised classification takes sample pixels in an image from user and directs the software to use these training sites as references for the classification of all other pixels of image.
