The ecryption overheads of the WPA2 and HTTPS reduces the claimed speed of the network because these encryption technique needs time to encrypt the data and the WPA2 is the fastes encrytion technique that is available in the market right now and the HTTPS also affect the speed of the network. Their may be a reduce of the claimes speed by 30% due to the encryption. In my opinion nowadays being extra secure is more important than being extra fast because nowadays your data is at a great risk of being stolen.
