Answer)
Data pre-processing is the process using which we can clear and also transform the data before to processing and analysis of the data and mine the data. But it is a very important task before the actual data is taken forward and mined.
There are several negative effects which can occur when we proceed directly to mine the data which has not been prepared such as:
Errors can be there and most probably will be there in the raw data before pre-processing which can hamper the data mining and deliver incorrect results
Quality of the data extract won't be good for data mining and results
Business decisions made out of such data will not be fruitful and correct
The data will not be future proof
Data will not be scalable and cannot be used everywhere
Data usage and collaboration cannot be made on the non-processed data.

The negative effects of ambient air pollution on children's lung function has been well established, but less research is available about the impact of indoor air pollution. The authors of an article investigated the relationship between indoor air-pollution metrics and lung function growth among children ages 6-13 years living in four Chinese cities. For each subject in the study, the authors measured an important lung-capacity index known as FEV1, the forced volume (in ml) of air that is exhaled in...

Dry ice (solid CO2) has been used as a mine explosive in the following manner. A hole is drilled into the mine wall, filled with dry ice plus a small charge of gunpowder, and then plugged. The gunpowder is lit with a fuse, vaporizing the CO2 and building up an explosively high pressure within the hole. Use each of the following correlations to estimate the pressure that will develop if 5.00 g of dry ice is placed in a 50.0-mL...

A mining company is considering a new project. Because the mine has received a permit, the project would be legal; but it would cause significant harm to a nearby river. The firm could spend an additional $10.33 million at Year 0 to mitigate the environmental Problem, but it would not be required to do so. Developing the mine (without mitigation) would require an initial outlay of $63 million, and the expected cash inflows would be $21 million per year for...
