Here in the above case, we are considering Instant messaging within a corporate network environment. Thus this kind of networking is the intra-networking which means that the Instant messaging works inside the company and is accessible to the users inside and authorized users outside the company. Instant messaging is the solution for real-time communication for the project management and workflow systems. Thus, this is an example of an intranet solution and also an extranet solution. This is an extranet solution as this can be accessed also by the authorized outside users using the Internet in a secure method to exchange information.
