What is the likely reason we enabling this network adaptor with NAT (Network Address Translation)? i.e. What does NAT allow us to do from a network connectivity standpoint?

Answer #1

NAT is useful when we have limited number of ips to allocate suppose we have 280 computers in our lab but we are not able to allocate or change the ip class and we have configured all pcs in class C address 192.168.1.0 /24 which gives us only 254 usable hosts and remaining will not be able to get any ip so we can create NAT in router or in server or in VM , in VM it gives another local ip from class A which will translate host ip to guest ip or we can say it simply share the internet from physical ip ethernet card with virtual machine's os. [eg bridge]
