Answer #1

First let us know the meaning of website so that it will be easy and interesting for us to know the use of website.

Website

The basic definition is website is a collection of webpages. Again, here comes a word webpage. Web page is a part of website which contains specific information related to a particular domain to be displayed. Web pages are used to display the content to users in a web browser. Example of web browsers are google chrome, Mozilla Firefox, safari, opera etc. Different webpages are combined to build a website. Web site is a collection of relevant content under the same domain name which is published on a web server.

As here we came across a word web server let us have a look at it.

Web server contains different websites which processes client requests on the world wide web i.e. WWW. For example, if we type a website address in our web browser's search engine then it is the job of a web server to deliver the website to us. Webservers take requests from the client, process them and then deliver them to the client.

Hope up to now we are clear with the terminology, now let us dive into our main answer that is the use of website.

There are no boundaries for the usage of websites. I listed some of them above and hope I was clear throughout the explanation and did not get you bored :)

I personally use websites for the below purposes:

At the end of a messy day I prefer to see movies on amazon or Netflix.
