The sources of inefficiency of "server closets" or data centers are :-

  1. The high energy inefficiency is due to fail to meet customers demand as, users requesting more processing power and the companies that risk losing business if they fail to meet customers demand.
  2. Inefficiency also comes from bad practices and refusal to adopt latest technology.
  3. Small and medium sized data center and less visible are also causes of inefficiency.
