In the article the Capital One data breach and Hiscox's cyber readiness report has been discussed. In the former breach the personal data and informations of around 1,40000 people were exposed and it was considered as one of the biggest in the history of security lapse.

It was resulted due to a mistake made in the settings of the company's cloud storage configuration, in another case as mentioned in the article Fire department of New York had lost the information of emergency patients who were treated during a given period when one of the employee lost his personal hard drive where the data were stored and not in encrypted form.

And in the Hiscox's cyber readiness report says that around 61% of the firm's holding data and personal informations either through credit card transaction or any other means.

The author's purpose to write the article is to showcase the various events that occurred during this year where data breach has become usual and no strict actions were taken against the attackers.

The question arises how to eradicate the problem as the employees of any firm can break through the policies and share the information with any third party. It can be reduced only if the data can be encrypted while storage in the hardware. Doing so even if it falls in wrong hands the data remains inaccessible.
