Answer #1

When we connect to a public wifi or even other private wifi networks, some of the user/device information are being tracked by the network system. Among them few of the most important information are:

- Device Mac Address -> Unique Device Identifier associated with each device.

- Device allocated IP -> IP associated with the device's connected network

- User requests -> every TCP/UDP (includes http(s)) requests to and from the device through the connected network

These are the mostly tracked information commonly.

Some of the public wifi/network might ask for some extra details from the user in-order to connect to the network, which are determined by the network administrator, for tracking the user details (username, password etc..)
