Construct and post your initial response to the following topic: Why is user resistance, particularly from physicians and nurses, often considered as the greatest obstacle to successfully implementing patient-centric management systems? What steps can an organization take to overcome this obstacle?
This is because of completely different method of feeding patient information in the system from the method which physicians and nurses are used to when maintaining pen paper-based record system. They might get frustrated as they might feel they are not good enough now with their records like they were before. Since they are not familiar with new technology and its method of feeding data they oppose the implementation of such a system.
This problem can be solved by talking to doctors and explaining them about advantages and how productivity can be increased after its implementation, Technology should be that par that doctors don't get disappointed. Proper training about the use of the system and proper technical support must be provided to make the organization believe that they have invested in the right thing.
