Operating system provides the communication between system hardware and software. The operating system designed for a computer will not work on a heart monitoring machine because of the following reasons:

(i) It will not detect the compatible hardware as the hardware components of a heart monitoring machine are different.

(ii) The heart monitoring machine operates based on specific instruction which are not compatible with the laptop operating system.

(iii) A laptop and a heart rate monitor runs on different interface. So, heart rate monitor will not recognize a operating system.
