Advantages of Increment development and Delivery :

1. Lower risk for overall project failure.
2. More extensive testing for the critical customer to the functionality.
3. It is early delivery of critical functionality to the customer and increment prototype to explore the requirements.
4. Increment are delivered faster.

The waterfall model is used because the waterfall model is a document-driven model with documents produced at the end of each phase.

Becouse of the cost of product iterations and involve significant rework.Hence Iterations usually limited when the waterfall model is use.
